Dear parishioners, friends, ladies and gentlemen,
I would like to welcome you most warmly to the website of the Cathedral parish of St. Hedwig in Berlin, Germany.
I am pleased you found your way here.
The Cathedral parish of St. Hedwig is the oldest roman-catholic parish of the Archdiocese and located in the center of Berlin.
The parish's church is St. Hedwig's Cathedral, which is the bishop's church of the roman-catholic Archdiocese of Berlin.
Parts of the new governmental district, the Humboldt-University as well as many embassies,
memorials and museums are located within the range of our parish territory.
This is what forms the daily life of our congregation: Official state visitors, students and tourists come here for prayer.
The faithful of the whole diocese follow the invitation of the Archbishop of Berlin, Georg Cardinal Sterzinsky,
to join mass on high feasts and other special occasions.
And finally the Cathedral parishioners gather here for their services.
These pages are to be understood as an addition to our congregation's activities.
We would like to offer information about our parish life to parishioners as well as to our guests
from within the diocese and to our national and international visitors.
These pages do not intend to substitute personal encounter or individual pastoral care.
So please don't hesitate to address us personally with any request.
All contact information can be found in our imprint.
I hope that you will find the information you are looking for, that you check back with us if you don't and that
we can welcome you very soon to St. Hedwig's Cathedral.
Cordial greetings from Berlin,
Msgr. Alfons Kluck, Cathedral Priest
